To meet the needs of the Bryant community during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bryant’s award-winning Amica Center for Career Education has made all services – from career counseling to mock interviews to the Bryant Career Connection – available online to students anywhere in the world.

Delivering services virtually through a variety of platforms from smartphones to Zoom, “we are speaking with students individually and supporting them directly, face-to-face,” says Executive Director Kevin Gaw, Ph.D.  The first week, he reported, the staff conducted 40 career-counseling appointments and set up 47 virtual interviews with companies for students.

The virtual center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Internships and jobs

There are more than 50 internships and more than 150 jobs for students to review – with application deadlines of April 7. Many more opportunities are listed in Bryant Career Connection (BCC).  Amica Center staff is available to all students who have questions or concerns about their internships, whether they are for academic credit or are non-credit internships.

Quick Questions

The Amica Center offers brief telephone and Zoom consultations Monday through Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. Students can call 401-232-6090 during these hours to speak with a staff member.

Virtual Appointments

Through Zoom, the Amica Center continues to offer students career-coaching appointments. Students can request appointments directly through Bryant Career Connection

Mock Interviews

Bryant Career Connection also offers a robust mock interview module that allows students to practice interview skills and acquire virtual interview skills. This feature allows students to create – or use an existing – interview and record their answers. Those recorded interviews can be reviewed by anyone from whom students would like feedback.

Psychology Graduate School Virtual Fair

Prospective students can meet psychology schools in real time through The Psychology Graduate School Virtual Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 7.
