The 5th annual College of Arts and Sciences Block Party connected Bryant students, faculty, and staff with the many academic and co-curricular offerings for Arts and Sciences majors.

“Our Arts and Sciences students can do anything. They have the skills to succeed in a variety of professional fields," says Bradford Martin, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. “One of the best things we can do to prepare students is to introduce them to people with a wide range of experiences, to show them their options.”

The Block Party, held Oct. 2, achieved that and more: It connected students with Bryant's world-class faculty members and dedicated career advisors, offered interactive activities to learn more about academic majors, concentrations, and minors, and internship opportunities and extracurricular activities. And in true Block Party fashion, entertainment, music, food, games, and prizes were also available.

Each academic department’s table featured an activity run by the faculty and students. By interacting and meeting with faculty from a wide range of departments, not just the faculty in their major, students gained additional perspective that could enhance or alter their college experience.

With Bryant’s innovative curriculum that infuses the liberal arts and business with an emphasis on real-world application, graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences will have the versatility to compete and contribute in a complex, global environment.
