Learn About Bryant Apply to Bryant

Senior Lecturer Susan R. Baran, MA, lecturer, and Professor Stanley J. Baran, Ph.D., have both been members of Bryant’s Communication Department since 2001 and love what the University has to offer – to faculty, staff, and students.

“The campus is beautiful, the faculty is among the most dedicated we’ve experienced in our combined years of teaching at numerous colleges/universities, and we have great respect for the interdisciplinary nature of the curriculum.”

“Seeing the community come together for a noble, common cause that is directed at helping all of Bryant’s students is what we find both exciting and inspiring about Expanding the World of Opportunity: The Campaign for Bryant’s Bold Future and why we felt very strongly that we needed to participate.”

The Barans believe that, beyond the financial benefits for the students, it’s important for faculty to donate because it allows them to feel invested in their workplace on a deeper level. The Barans’ most recent gift was designated to the University’s Honors Program, which fosters a community of exceptional students and mentors who inspire one another to excel. Susan Baran serves as Honors Program Associate Director.

“We both believe in Bryant and in the overall values of the University,” say the Barans. It is important for us to contribute to its continued success. Both our children are Bulldogs, and we consider ourselves a Bryant family. Giving is part of what we do as teachers – it’s in our DNA!”
