Decades of athletic achievement will be honored on Feb. 11, 2017, as a part of Bryant's annual basketball reunion during Bryant's basketball doubleheader against St. Francis Brooklyn. At the conclusion of the women's game, alumni, coaches, and student-athletes will officially unveil the Bryant University Athletics Wall of Fame, which honors the Hall of Fame athletes. Bryant Hall of Fame Class of 2015 member Jeffrey L. Doppelt '73 will receive special recognition for his philanthropic support, which made the project possible.

Doppelt – an accounting major and a baseball outfielder who, in his senior year, led the Bulldogs in batting average, slugging percentage, and extra-base hits – has provided annual gifts to Bryant that help the University compete on the field with top-notch equipment and facilities.

"Bryant's name is getting out there, and I've been extremely proud of the way they've proven themselves against more established teams," he says. "The coaches and players are so appreciative of the support."

In addition, Bryant will honor the 50th anniversary of the 1966-67 men's basketball team, which went undefeated in the regular season. The team will be recognized during halftime of the men's game.

"The experience of that season was a unique one for anybody associated with Bryant athletics, basketball in particular," says Michael Fisher '67, who was a manager and player on the team. "It was just a season where everything kind of gelled and we wound up getting more attention brought to us and to the University than we had ever experienced previously. Bryant began to make a name for itself around the winning season being racked up."
