Bryant International Business (IB) faculty members contributed their expertise as panelists, presenters, and leaders of the 2018 Northeast Academy of International Business (AIB NE) Conference held at Drexel University in Philadelphia October 19-20. Management Professor Crystal Jiang, Ph.D., served as conference chair of the Bryant-sponsored event, which focused on theme of “Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation.” Jiang is also a board member of AIB NE, the second largest U.S. chapter in the Academy of International Business community of scholars and practitioners, with close to 400 members.

Here is a recap of Bryant faculty contributions to the agenda of this prestigious conference:

  • Professor Jiang, with scholars from United Nations and other top universities, participated in a panel on "Regional Trade Promotion in an Era of Rising Global Protectionism.”

 

  • Professor Ramirez was the featured panelist for the session, "What is the value of an IB Education?", reporting results of a recent CUIBE (Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education) research project. Ramirez also chaired a session on International Business Pedagogy as a track chair.
