SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant University will host an evening with Professor Eitan D. Hersh, Associate Professor of Political Science at Tufts University and author of "Politics is for Power" (Simon & Schuster, 2020) on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. at the Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center.

Hersh will discuss civic participation, voting rights, and the relationship between election rules, strategies, and voter behavior. His first book, Hacking the Electorate: How Campaigns Perceive Voters was published by Cambridge University Press in 2015. There will be a book signing following Dr. Hersh's remarks at 8:15 p.m.

Co-hosted by Bryant Hillel, the Bryant Council for Jewish Life and Culture, the lecture is part of an ongoing commitment to a vibrant Jewish life and culture on the Bryant campus through the contributions of distinguished Jewish leaders, scholars, and authors who can provide insights into current events and complex issues, enriching conversations throughout the Bryant community.

Additional co-hosts and supporting organizations include the Bryant Honors Program, Student Alumni Association, Council for Jewish Life and Culture, and the departments of Communications, History, Social Science and Analytics.
