Outstanding faculty have always played a critical role in Bryant’s success and in the success of its students. The University recently announced the promotions of seven scholars and teachers as well as the recipients of Bryant's Annual Faculty Awards. 

In addition, four faculty members who have taught at Bryant for a collective 74 years retired: Professor of Marketing and Associate Provost Carol DeMoranville, Ph.D.; Professor of History and former Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences David Lux, Ph.D.; Lecturer of Analytics and Statistics Mike Salzillo, M.Sc.; and Professor of English and Cultural Studies Elizabeth Walden, Ph.D.

  • Michael Lynch, J.D., Professor of Accounting, Distinguished Faculty (Federation Award), College of Business
  • Laura Beaudin, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Economics, Honors Faculty Mentor

Retirements

  • Professor of Marketing and Associate Provost Carol DeMoranville, Ph.D.: DeMoranville was Associate Provost from 2016–2020. She previously served as Chair of the Marketing Department and as Interim Dean for the College of Business. She joined as a member of Bryant faculty over 14 years ago. 
  • Professor of History and Former Dean David Lux, Ph.D.: Prior to his role as Founding Academic Dean for Bryant Zhuhai, located in Guangdong Province, China, Lux served as Dean of Undergraduate Studies and was Founding Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Bryant’s Smithfield campus beginning in 2004. Lux joined the Bryant University faculty in 1990.
  • Lecturer of Analytics and Statistics Mike Salzillo, M.Sc.: Prior to joining Bryant, Salzillo was Chief Statistician at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He taught courses in mathematics at the University for 9 years.
  • Professor Emeritus of English and Cultural Studies Elizabeth Walden, Ph.D.: Walden taught courses in the humanities, including film studies, in Bryant’s ECS department for 20 years.
