Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many less fortunate families in Rhode Island are now facing increased hardship. To show their compassion and help make a difference, a group of Bryant faculty members recently came together to launch the “Bryant Faculty Cares” online fundraising initiative in support of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Faculty and staff have already raised more than $6,800 to help the Food Bank provide food to Rhode Islanders during the pandemic.

Every month, the Food Bank’s statewide network of food pantries and meal sites serves over 50,000 people including children, seniors, and adults. With so many people in Rhode Island suddenly losing their jobs and facing the prospect of extended unemployment, the RI Community Food Bank has become an even more critical resource for families in need.
