Thanks to the loyal and generous support of 5,611 alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends, Bryant University closed the 2019 fiscal year with strong fundraising and renewed engagement throughout the Bryant community. It was the second-best year ever for revenue with a total of $15.7 million raised, much of it from the all-time record-high 467 members of the Bryant Leadership Council, a giving society for annual contributors of $1,000 or more.

“We’re grateful for the consistent and enthusiastic support we receive each year, and it is exciting to watch as the momentum from our capital campaign energizes all of our fundraising efforts,” said Ed Magro, Bryant’s Executive Director of Development.

Earlier in the year, Bryant announced the historic success of Expanding the World of Opportunity: The Campaign for Bryant’s Bold Future when the revised goal of $100 million was reached and exceeded. The current campaign total stands at $103.6 million and additional gifts will be counted until the end of 2019.
Other highlights for the year include:

  • $922,500 - a new record for corporate sponsorships
  • $166,000 raised by the President’s Cup Golf Tournament
  • 71 percent giving participation from the Class of 2019

In addition to these accomplishments, the Bryant Telefund program reversed recent-year, industry-wide trends with a 32 percent increase in revenue and a 12 percent increase in donors, as more alumni connected with student callers to renew their commitment to Bryant.

This increase is an indicator that Bryant alumni are more connected than ever before. During the year, more than 3,500 alumni volunteers contributed their time and talent to help expand opportunity for Bryant students through mentoring and leadership. For Magro, this broad base of loyal support is one of Bryant’s core strengths. “The generosity of the Bryant community continues to inspire me, and all of us who work on behalf this remarkable institution.”
