Juggling two full-time leadership positions is second nature for Molly Devanney ’00. She serves as Vice President of Public Relations at Highland Park Market, a third-generation family-owned grocery chain – with stores in Farmington, Glastonbury, Manchester, and Suffield, CT – and as Executive Director of the nonprofit Rebuilding Together of Manchester CT, where she was once a teen volunteer.

Devanney, who serves on no fewer than 11 nonprofit boards, was honored by Channel 3 Kids’ Camp (C3KC) at its annual Women Raising Awareness Philanthropically luncheon in 2019. Thanks to C3KC, “kids in inner-cities who never envisioned being able to go to camp and swim in the summer” can, she says. She has raised funds, hosted events, recruited board members for C3KC, and now serves as board secretary for the organization, which serves more than 3,000 children annually.

Devanney, who holds a master’s degree in food marketing from St. Joseph’s University, is also an adjunct faculty member in the Hospitality and Culinary Arts Department at Manchester Community College.

Given myriad demands on her time, how does Devanney accomplish everything?  “I do well because I am surrounded by a great team,” she says. “Get done today what you can get done today; don’t put things off. Let’s be successful and smart… and get things done together.”
