“Bryant is – and always was – way ahead of the times,” says Judy Barrett Litoff, Ph.D., Professor of History. “I was recruited in 1975 specifically to develop women’s history courses.”

“Support from faculty and staff for the University demonstrates to the wider public that Bryant is a very caring institution that values the opinions of those who have an ‘up close and personal’ view. I’ve always felt valued here.”

While that may have seemed out of character for a school with a heavy business emphasis, Litoff felt the special magic of Bryant’s niche from day one. “Over the years, I have always received strong support from Bryant for the courses that I teach and the research that I undertake,” says the author of 14 hardcover books and more than 100 articles and chapters.

It is one of the reasons that Litoff has contributed generously and consistently to the Bryant Fund for almost five decades and most recently to Expanding the World of Opportunity: The Campaign for Bryant’s Bold Future.
