For the second consecutive year, Bryant has been recognized for the University’s proactive, comprehensive approach to supporting the whole student through educational programs designed to create a safe and inclusive campus. This approach includes a series of digital training programs that address student safety, well-being and inclusion through prevention strategies in critical areas such as mental health, diversity, substance misuse, sexual violence and hazing.

The sustained high quality of Bryant University's programs has earned Bryant the Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention for Higher Education. This designation "is awarded to institutions of higher education that have demonstrated a commitment to digital prevention programs tied to student safety, well-being, and inclusion," EverFi noted in announcing the list of recipients. Each institution of higher education awarded the CPN seal "has taken action to create a safer, more inclusive campus through comprehensive, evidence-based digital prevention education on issues such as sexual assault, alcohol misuse, mental health, and discrimination." "How a student experiences life at Bryant is a priority for the entire Student Affairs division," said Inge-Lise Ameer, Ed.D., Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students. "We want the campus environment to provide a positive learning experience that goes well beyond the classroom. These educational training programs help us build on our strong community and help students navigate their college experiences as they continue rising to the challenges and stress of the global pandemic.

“It is my pleasure to congratulate our Student Affairs team on receiving this award in recognition of their commitment to campus safety and inclusion,” said Bryant President Ross Gittell, Ph.D.

“We are committed to building a strong Bryant community where all individuals feel valued and safe. These important and comprehensive education efforts, combined with the work of our faculty, staff, and students, reinforce the values and expectations of our community.”
