Bryant University’s Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA) online program has ascended the U.S. News & World Report rankings once again, climbing 33 spots to No. 65 in the nation from No. 98 in 2022. Announced today, the rankings consider a program’s engagement level; reputation; faculty credentials; student excellence; and services and technologies. This places Bryant’s PMBA online — introduced in 2019 as a flexible alternative to the in-seat MBA — in the top 20 percent of ranked online MBAs in the United States alongside some of the most prestigious schools in the country.
"This impressive increase in national rankings is evidence of our commitment to prepare students for success through transformational learning, the hard work and dedication of Bryant's faculty, and the talent of our students," said Bryant President Ross Gittell, Ph.D. "Congratulations to Dean Annavarjula and the world-class faculty in the College of Business on this outstanding achievement."
Designed for working professionals seeking to uplevel their strategic leadership skills and knowledge, the program is self-paced with five annual start times and student-selected course sequences. Students, who enroll from locations across the nation and around the world, often complete the 10-course program in one year while balancing full-time careers and personal commitments.
“Bryant’s PMBA online and in-person MBA programs provide a world-class business education where students are supported by a culture that values creativity and innovation,” says Rupendra Paliwal, Ph.D., Provost and Chief Academic Officer of Bryant University. “Bryant students also experience one of the highest returns on investment nationally, and this emphasis on student outcomes, aligned with a curriculum centered on values-based leadership, is how Bryant is meeting the challenges of higher education today.”
“This success is due to the commitment of our College of Business faculty and leadership. They are preparing students to become purposeful leaders in a technology- and data-driven world.”
The PMBA online, which offers tracks in Strategic Leadership and Innovative Healthcare Leadership, emphasizes a humanistic approach to online learning with small class sizes and accessible faculty who teach practical applications of design-thinking methodologies. Tuition is among the most competitive in the field at $2,196 per course credit, and PMBA online graduates see immediate results. According to a 2022 outcomes survey, 60 percent of Bryant PMBA online students were promoted or offered new positions upon graduation and, on average, their salaries increased by 25 percent.
“Bryant University’s PMBA online has been overwhelmingly successful since it launched just four years ago,” says Dean of the College of Business Madan Annavarjula, Ph.D. “This success is due to the commitment of our College of Business faculty and leadership. They are preparing students to become purposeful leaders in a technology- and data-driven world.”
In addition to the U.S. News & World Report rankings, the PMBA online program was named one of the fifty best online MBAs in the country by Poets & Quants, with top recognition in student satisfaction (No. 3), flexibility (No. 5), and alumni recommendations (No. 7). CEO Magazine also recognized the PMBA online as a Tier One Global Online MBA program and CollegeConsensus.com recently ranked it No. 6 in online MBA programs.
As the PMBA online grows in prestige, Bryant University has launched new graduate programs to empower students and working professionals with the knowledge, skills, and advanced credentials to succeed. New STEM-designated in-person master’s degree programs in Business Analytics, Data Science, and Healthcare Informatics and online master’s degree programs in Taxation and Actuarial Science are enrolling for Fall of 2023.
