Learn About Bryant Apply to Bryant

As Bryant University prepares for its full campus opening on June 1, we are excited to announce in-person Orientation for all first-year students and their families. We congratulate the Class of 2025 and all incoming students on their acceptance to Bryant!

Held on the University’s award-winning campus in Smithfield, New Student Orientation introduces the transformative Bryant experience with strong Bulldog spirit. The two-day overnight program provides the opportunity to meet fellow students as well as staff and faculty members who will become lifelong resources. Students become acclimated to our close-knit campus community as they build their course schedules, learn about co-curricular opportunities and health and wellness programs, and get ready for a rewarding fall semester.

When students participate in Orientation, they are introduced to residential living and dining as they get to know the group of 18 student Orientation Leaders who are ready to answer questions about our community and help with the transition to college life.

According to Dr. Inge-Lise Ameer, vice president for Student Affairs, “Orientation allows our students to connect with faculty, staff, and peers and forge lifetime connections. Beginning their Bryant experience in person will start the process of developing lifelong friendships, mentoring opportunities and their path of how they will contribute to the Bryant community.”

Bryant’s abundant resources for success include many in Student Affairs that will be introduced during Orientation: the Amica Center for Career Education, Center for Leadership and Involvement, and PwC Center for Diversity and Inclusion, among others. Orientation registration opens mid-May and a more information will be sent to students regarding the program and what to expect. Students and families will select one session from the following dates for in-person New Student Orientation 2021:

· Session 1: Monday and Tuesday, June 14-15

· Session 2: Thursday and Friday, June 17-18

· Session 3: Monday and Tuesday, June 21-22

· Session 4: Thursday and Friday, June 24-25

Orientation is required for all new students and optional for family members.

The support for new students will continue virtually through the summer, as well as during Welcome Week prior to the fall semester, to continue the conversations from Orientation and maintain a level of support for new students as they acclimate to life on campus. First year students will also have the opportunity to engage in events throughout the first semester to address questions that come up, build important skills sets, and make connections through a series of weekly programming. Families will be welcomed back to campus for Family and Friends Weekend, October 15-17.
