Smithfield, RI - This week, Bryant University announced that Darria Long, M.D., a Harvard- and Yale-trained emergency physician, national television contributor, TEDx speaker, and bestselling author, rounds out the prestigious roster of keynote speakers at the 26th annual Women's Summit® on Thursday, March 16, at Bryant University.
A busy ER physician and mom, Long understands the problem of having too much to do and too little time to do it. After developing autoimmune arthritis, she went from running daily to barely being able to walk. These struggles served as her wake-up call to find solutions for her health challenges, and Long was able to turn her health around.
As a result, she has become the nation's "making life better for women" doctor by helping individuals stay present and remain healthy during constant distractions and high stress. Long will enlighten the 1,000 attendees of the Women's Summit® with her high-yield strategies to help end "crazy busy" and create a thriving lifestyle.
In addition to Long, Sally Helgesen and Beverly Johnson will also deliver keynote addresses. Throughout the date, attendees interact with other professionals during the Summit’s engaging morning and afternoon breakout sessions and at dedicated networking times. This year’s theme, Moving Forward Together: Me, We, Us, speaks to leaders' challenges as they seek to inspire and create impact while navigating work-life balance in a quickly changing world.
Established in 1997, the Bryant University Women's Summit® is the premier leadership event for women in Rhode Island. This year's Summit will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Bryant's beautiful campus in Smithfield, RI. Registration opens on Tuesday, February 7.
