“It seems counter-intuitive, but research shows that the “working harder” approach nearly always reduces actual performance because it erodes time spent improving, which erodes long-term capability,” writes Michael Gravier, Ph.D., Bryant University Professor of Marketing, in his latest article in Supply Chain Management Review.
