Men's lacrosse head coach Ross named the NEILA Coach of the Year

In his first year on the Bryant sidelines, Bryant University men's lacrosse head coach Brad Ross was named the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Coach of the Year. Ross led the Black and Gold to the 2023 America East title and a spot in the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championships  the sixth time in program history.

Under Ross's watch, the Bulldog set single-season team records in total goals, goals per game, total points, and shooting percentage. Individually, Bryant had five players finish with 40-plus points for the first time in Division I program history. The team also had three 40-goal scorers for the first time in Division I program history. Bryant also won the Ocean State Cup for the fifth time in program history. 

 

Johnny HackettFirst-year named to All-NE Second Team

First-year midfielder Johnny Hackett was named to the All-New England Second Team. Hackett was a key catalyst for the Bulldogs in his debut season, recording 41 goals and 54 points. The Winnetka, Illinois, native  earned America East Rookie of the Year honors, finishing the season second nationally among first-years with 41 goals — one behind teammate Jack Lonsinger. Hackett's 54 points are the most by a first-year in Division I program history. He recorded six hat tricks, with a season-high of seven, and finished with multiple points in 14 of his 17 games.
