Bryant’s holiday Festival of Lights, one of the University’s oldest and most cherished traditions, returns this year on Wednesday, December 1. Now in its 45th year, Festival of Lights brings the entire Bryant community together to celebrate holiday traditions with gratitude and good cheer while enjoying creative activities, musical performances, fun photos and seasonal food.
A full slate of activities has been planned by Bryant’s Student Alumni Association (SAA) and Center for Student Leadership and Involvement (CSLI). The celebration begins at 10am and continues through the evening. Highlights include:
Student Organizations Craft Fair and Live Music
10am-2pm in the Rotunda
Alumni, Family and Friends Reception
Toast the season with a glass of bubbly and hearty hors d'oeuvres. Share the spirit of giving by contributing nearly new professional clothes for Bryant's Dress for Success Closet.
5:30-7pm in the Unistructure Admission Atrium
(by advance registration, fee includes a Bryant champagne flute)
Evening Program
Ceremonies begin in the Rotunda at 7pm and feature religious readings, music and dance with students sharing traditions from around the world including:
Lighting of Advent Wreath
Lighting of Menorah
Chinese Lantern Festival
Diwali Celebration and Lighting
Muslim Eid Celebration and Lighting
A candle lighting and procession will lead everyone to the celebratory lighting of the campus holiday tree and menorah. A reception with holiday treats and music by the Bryant Jazz Band will follow in the Fisher Student Center.
