Smithfield, RI—Meridith Webster, executive vice president of global communications and public affairs at Estée Lauder Companies Inc., will deliver a keynote address at Bryant University's 27th annual Women's Summit® on Thursday, March 14.
Webster's impressive leadership experience spans business, media, government, and philanthropy. In the position she assumed in 2021, Webster leads ELC's global communications and public affairs strategic agenda for the luxury brands that reported net sales of $15.9 billion in 2023. Webster advances and protects ELC's business interests and corporate reputation globally while strengthening key relationships to drive value. She is a strategic advisor to the ELC's executive leadership team, the board of directors, and the Lauder family.
Before ELC, Webster served in the Biden White House as special assistant to the president and chief of staff to the Domestic Policy Council. She also worked in the Obama and Clinton administrations and the U.S. State Department. Webster has held numerous positions in the media, serving as Vox Media's first-ever chief communications officer, overseeing strategic and crisis communications and media relations across a growing modern media company. She was also the Global Head of Public Affairs at Bloomberg Philanthropies and Bloomberg L.P.
Lisa Leslie and Susan Packard will also deliver keynote addresses at the Women's Summit®. In addition, attendees will choose from nearly 20 breakout sessions led by accomplished speakers who will explore how the values, vision, mission, and strengths of individuals and organizations can collaborate to achieve collective success in an evolving workplace.
Established in 1997, Bryant University's Women's Summit® is the largest and longest-running leadership conference for women in Rhode Island and the region. With a mission of educating women, the Summit provides women with strategies to advance professionally, develop personally, and be empowered financially. This year's Summit, with the theme of "Passion, Purpose, Power, Possibility," will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Bryant University.
