Bryant brothers raise thousands for charity in first marathon run
Apr 24, 2025, by Bob Curley

A trio of brothers — two with Bryant connections — raised more than $30,000 for charity by running the 2025 Boston Marathon this month.

Jackson Cavallerano '22, Louis Cavallerano '27, and their brother Nick Cavallerano, a senior at the University of Rochester, “all crossed the finish line before the cutoff and proudly received our medals,” says Louis, who like his brothers was running his first marathon.

Of the three, Jackson posted the best time, completing the 26.2-mile course in 4:49:57. The brothers trained for months for the race, both together and separately.

“I was beyond lucky to have the marathon course in my backyard, that was a huge part of my success,” says Jackson, who graduated Bryant with a degree in Marketing and now works at the Boston-area restaurant software company Toast. “It was a lot easier running the Boston waterfront versus the actual course, which had a lot more elevation changes. Familiarizing myself with the hardest sections was a game-changer.”

Both Jackson and Louis tapped the Bryant community for support, and the school’s faculty, staff, alumni, board members, and students responded with more than $1,500 in donations.

“Running the Boston Marathon alongside my two older brothers was truly an unforgettable experience,” says Louis, currently majoring in Marketing at Bryant. “I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support, from the generous fundraising contributions to the cheers from spectators along the course. It’s a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

Jackson says that lessons learned at Bryant about networking and giving back, as well as a strong support network, allowed him to reach his goals for the race.

“I was also able to exceed my fundraising efforts and positively impact the lives of those with less,” he says.
