Smithfield, RI – Susan Packard, a co-founder of the popular HGTV network, is a featured keynote speaker at Bryant University’s 27th annual Women’s Summit® on March 14.
Throughout her career, Packard has helped build powerful media brands including HBO, CNBC, and HGTV. As co-founder of HGTV, she was also the chief officer and helped lead its transition to Scripps Networks Interactive, guiding the creation of new brands and platforms. Under her leadership, these businesses had a market value of more than $15 billion.
Packard left corporate media to become a writer, mentor, and leadership speaker. Her books, New Rules of the Game: 10 Strategies for Women in the Workplace and Fully Human: Three Steps to Grow Your Emotional Fitness in Work, Leadership, and Life, explore how practices of good emotional health can help us create better lives and careers. Emotional fitness, a practice she teaches today to leaders, was the core of her success at HGTV.
In 2020, Susan was named one of the top 40 women keynote speakers by RealLeaders, and she continues to be an active speaker at organizations and universities. She was also the first woman elected to serve on the board of directors of Churchill Downs, Inc., the owner and manager of the Kentucky Derby.
Lisa Leslie and Meridith Webster will also deliver keynote addresses at the Women’s Summit®. In addition, attendees will choose from 16 breakout sessions led by accomplished speakers who will explore how the values, vision, mission, and strengths of individuals and organizations can collaborate to achieve collective success in an evolving workplace.
