Join us for the 2021 #WeAreBryant Virtual Race, a run/walk/bike race to connect and energize the Bryant community and raise critical funds for Bryant. Registration opens Wednesday, April 7, and the race kicks off Wednesday, April 28, with participants having until Sunday, May 2, to complete 5K (3.1 mi) or 10K (6.6 mi), wherever they are, and at their own pace.
“You can walk with your dog, run on your treadmill, ride your Peloton—however you choose to participate, you will help keep Bryant connected and moving forward.”
Last year, more than 600 people participated in the inaugural virtual event, created to connect the campus and worldwide Bryant community and raise funds for the COVID-19 Fund. This year, participants can support the area that means the most to them, and the event is welcoming walkers, cyclists, and runners of all fitness levels.
“You can walk with your dog, run on your treadmill, ride your Peloton—however you choose to participate, you will help keep Bryant connected and moving forward,” says Nora Marzocchi, Director of the Bryant Fund.
Participants can create their own teams or join their friends’, classmates’, or family teams to challenge and inspire each other to reach the virtual finish line. Former student-athletes will have a special incentive as they compete on behalf of their former varsity teams for Bryant Athletics bragging rights.
After tracking their progress online, all registered participants can receive a race medal by completing their race. Everyone can get in on the fun and build excitement by posting on social media using the hashtag #WeAreBryant. The race team will recognize winners with social awards like #MostEnthusiastic, #BestCostume, and #MostBulldogPride.
When you register, you can designate your fee to support the Bryant program or initiative you choose and share your fundraising page with your colleagues and friends.
Register April 7 through May 2.
