Stronger Together: Bryant Giving Day gears up for Oct. 20, 2021

The Bryant University community — on campus and around the world — is gearing up for the fourth annual Bryant Giving Day on Wednesday, October 20. During the University’s biggest fundraising event of the year, alumni, students, faculty, staff, friends, and families will show how their generosity, determination, and signature Bryant spirit is stronger together.

As Bryant University resumes a fully in-person learning and working environment, strong philanthropic support has never been more important. “Our loyal donors stepped up to the plate last year and helped Bryant through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, including providing financially affected students with scholarships to stay enrolled.” says Nora Marzocchi, Director of the Bryant Fund. “Every dollar raised on Bryant Giving Day will continue to help Bryant return to a more normal state and demonstrate how we’re so much stronger together.”

David Wegrzyn ’86, P’23, Vice President for University Advancement, emphasizes that everyone who donates on Bryant Giving Day makes both a personal and community-wide impact.

“Donors are able to support the area of Bryant that enriched their experience and has the most meaning for them,” he explains. “Every gift counts towards Bryant’s overall participation total, which boosts our national rankings – and helps to make the Bryant experience truly extraordinary.

President Ross Gittell, Ph.D., reflects on everything Bryant’s community of donors has made possible since the beginning his tenure in July of 2020. “Last year, we were able to maintain a residential campus experience with in-person learning, host commencement ceremonies on campus for our Classes of 2020 and 2021 and continue to advance our mission thanks to the Bryant community’s collective commitment and support received on Bryant Giving Day and throughout the year,” he said.

“For the academic year ahead, our Vision 2030 strategic planning is providing direction for Bryant to continue to excel in the years to come. Support from alumni, staff, students and friends on this year’s Bryant Giving Day will help us achieve strategic goals that position our University for an even stronger future.”
